  • What is PureBond made with?

PureBond is composed of soy protein, not urea formaldehyde. In addition to eliminating toxic off-gassing, it gives the plywood terrific strength and water resistance characteristics.

  • Where is PureBond made?

PureBond is used to make decorative hardwood panels in a network of mills operated exclusively by Columbia Forest Products in the United States and Canada.

  • Is this part of the “Green Movement”?

Yes. PureBond offers a breakthrough technology that enhances an important “personal” angle of Green Design – the informed consideration of quality of life and health issues that can be affected by material choices we make.  In fact, PureBond products are available in FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) options. Columbia’s FSC certification ensures responsible use of forest resources.
